The 2010 California Film Awards Ceremony and filmmakers dinner
will be held December 15, 2010. All award-winning films and filmmakers
will be announced publicly and to the media at this time.

Fees
Feature film are over 50 minutes.
Shorts films are under 50 minutes.

Competition Rules and Conditions
All fiction, documentary, and short films of any form or genre can apply to the California Film Awards. Films should have been completed no earlier than three years prior to the submission date.
Works in progress are accepted.
Awarded films and filmmakers are announced publicly at our annual Awards Ceremony and Filmmakers Dinner held in La Jolla, California. The California Film Awards reserves the right to display clips of awarded films at its annual Awards Ceremony and Filmmakers Dinner The Awards Ceremony is open to all media.
All foreign and international entrants must clearly label their packages "No commercial value. For cultural purposes only."
The cost of shipping an entry to the California Film Awards must be paid by the entrant. All international entries must be sent with all transportation charges, duties, and taxes prepaid by the shipper.
Students receive a $10 discount. Please include a copy of your student ID.
DVDs and videos must be clearly labeled with name of film, running time and contact information.
The entry fee is nonrefundable.
Submission copies will not be returned.
More than one entry may be submitted. Each entry must have its own submission form filled out and fee paid.
The filmmaker will assume shipping costs of material and print to the California Film Awards.
Films produced in languages other than English should have legible English subtitles.
Entrants are responsible for obtaining any necessary licenses, royalties, release forms, clearances, permits necessary to present their work.
The selection committees’ and juries’ decisions are final.
Awarded films are not screened for the public.
The California Film Awards reserves the right to make any necessary changes in regulations or scheduling.
Please do not send press kits or photos. If your film is selected we will contact you to request press materials.
